Partnership with Local Schools
We have four wonderful schools in our parish. Hutton Grammar is a Church of England School which St Andrew’s has a long and fruitful partnership with dating back centuries!
The current Chair of Governors, Sue Tipping, is a member of St Andrew’s. Rev Sam is also a governor and lead chaplain within the school, as well as chaplain to years 7 and 8.
St Andrew’s also has a positive relationship with each of the primary schools in the area: Longton Primary, St Oswald’s and Ashbridge Infants. We welcome Longton Primary School for regular assemblies and services throughout the year, as well as hosting occasional class visits. Rev Sam is a visitor to Ashbridge for assemblies and host for class visits, and we have welcomed St Oswald’s to take part in recent village events.
Our local schools are such a vital part of our community, and we love to serve them in whatever ways we can.
Faith Reference Requests
St Andrew’s is happy to supply faith references for church schools. Please carefully read your chosen school’s entry requirements. If you are going to require a faith reference in the near future, please get in touch with Rev Sam so you can discuss the reference and note your attendance accurately.
